Carjacking Plus 2 Failed Attempts Reported In Columbia: Police
A carjacking in Columbia Feb. 17 just before 2 p.m. in the 7400 block of Hickory Log Circle is likely related to two attempts made that day.
COLUMBIA, MD — Howard County police officers are investigating a carjacking in Columbia that happened Feb. 17 shortly before 2 p.m. in the 7400 block of Hickory Log Circle. A man told officers that he had parked his vehicle and was walking away from it when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects had a handgun and demanded the victim turn over his car keys.
The man gave up his keys and the two suspects took off in his 2005 black Toyota Camry with tags MD/8APV39. No one was injured in the incident.
Police also are investigating two other attempted carjackings that happened that same day, both on Cradlerock Way at 10:15 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. Nothing was stolen and no one was injured in those two incidents. Police believe all three cases are related.
