CA’s Extreme Youth & Teens Program offers 10 exciting summer day trips

Give your kid the best summer ever by engaging them in positive activities through the summer months. There’s no need to stay home with nothing to do, not when Columbia Association’s (CA) Youth and Teen Center at the Barn is offering 10 exciting excursions that will take them on adventures in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, with activities that range from beaches to caverns and from water parks to go-karts.

Between July 8 And August 7, youth and teens between the ages of 9 and 18 can head to:

  • Arnold’s Family Fun Center, which is in Oaks, Pennsylvania, and includes go-karts, games and rides — Thursday, July 10

  • Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia — Tuesday, July 15

  • Ocean City — Thursday, July 17

  • Hershey Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania — Tuesday, July 22

  • Luray Caverns in Luray, Virginia — Thursday, July 24

  • Dorney Park amusement park in Allentown, Pennsylvania — Tuesday, July 29

  • Crofton Go-Kart Raceway in Gambrills and Crofton Bowling Center in Crofton — Thursday, July 31

  • Cascade Lake in Hampstead — Tuesday, August 5

  • Virginia Beach, Virginia — Thursday, August 7

  • The price — $475 for CA residents and $570 for non-residents — covers all 10 trips, entrance fees, transportation, some meals and a T-shirt. Adventures can also be signed up for on a trip-by-trip basis ($65 per trip for CA residents, $78 per trip for non-residents. Space is limited. Register at CA’s Youth and Teen Center at The Barn, which is located at 5853 Robert Oliver Place in the Oakland Mills Village Center. The registration deadline is Monday, June 30.
