Columbia Carjacking Leads To Arrests

Police said two Columbia residents carjacked someone in broad daylight.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two Columbians were charged in a carjacking that happened earlier this week. Police said the crime happened in the 7200 block of Calm Sunset.

A woman was pulling out of a parking spot when two people approached her, took her out of her vehicle and left the scene. The carjacking happened at 12:58 p.m. on April 9.

Police arrested a 20-year-old from Calm Sunset and a 15-year-old boy, also from Columbia; they were charged with carjacking, assault and motor vehicle theft.
