Columbia Crime: One Burglary, Two Attempts
A construction trailer at Merriweather was broken into, Howard County police said.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A trailer was broken into a Merriweather Post Pavilion, in the 10400 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. Power tools were stolen after the lock was cut to get into the Costello Construction Company's trailer. The burglary happened between Feb. 24 and Feb. 27.
After getting inside a vehicle in the 8100 block of Sea Water Path, an unknown suspect used the garage door opener to get into the garage. Nothing was reported stolen from the garage or the vehicle. The incident was reported at 6:36 p.m. on Feb. 24.

There was a burglary attempt in the 5000 block of Columbia Road between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. Despite trying to pry open the front door to a residence, the suspect(s) did not succeed.
