Columbia Fireworks 2016 Are Still On: Howard County Officials

Columbia, MD — The Fourth of July fireworks show on Lake Kittamaqundi will go on but may be set off earlier than anticipated, according to county officials.

The fireworks were to go off at dusk or 9 p.m., but because of the weather, the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks reported they may be launched earlier.

Live music that was to begin at 5 p.m. along the lakefront has been canceled, officials said.

Vendors will still be out serving food.
