Columbia Home Invasion Started with Doorbell: Police

A woman answered the door Monday night in Columbia and found two masked individuals on the other side, Howard County police say.

A home invasion was reported in Columbia Monday night, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Authorities responded to a robbery at 8:55 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, where police reported two masked men came to a woman’s door, one of them armed.

After hearing the doorbell ring, the woman answered her door in the 9500 block of Angelina Circle and a man with his face covered pushed his way inside, took a backpack and left, according to the report.

A second man was standing outside the door with a gun, the report said.

The men got away and nobody was injured, the report said.
