Columbia Jewelry Store Robbed with Hammers: Police
Three suspects smashed display cases at The Mall in Columbia with hammers, Howard County police said.
After Edward Arthur Jewelers was robbed at The Mall in Columbia this week, the Howard County Police Department is offering a reward for information.
The armed robbery occurred at approximately 8:32 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, police said.
Three suspects, who were believed to be in their late teens, went into the store and broke two glass display cases with hammers, then stole watches, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At one point, a store employee confronted them but one suspects threatened him with a hammer; then the suspects left, the report said.
No one was injured in the robbery.

The store is open until 9 p.m. on Monday, so the crime happened during business hours.
Anyone with information may contact 410-313-STOP. There is a reward of up to $500.
