Columbia Man Assaulted In Apartment: Police Blotter

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following is a roundup of police activity for the previous week in Howard County.

ARREST: Carjacking update
Police have made an arrest in a Sept. 3 carjacking in the 3400 block of Court House Drive in Ellicott
City. An adult male victim reported that he was in his vehicle with an acquaintance when the acquaintance assaulted him and stole the vehicle. No one was injured. Police located the vehicle in another jurisdiction. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him.
ARRESTED: Michael Jeffery Brooks III, 23, of French Lane in Hagerstown, charged with carjacking, robbery, motor vehicle theft, and assault

Columbia, 21045: 6400 block of Dobbin Road, Sept. 24, tools

Police have made arrests in a Sept. 10 assault in the 6400 block of Browsing Deer in Columbia. Police responded for a report that several suspects approached a residence and an adult male victim who opened the front door of the residence was cut by a male suspect. The suspects then fled. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. Through investigation, police identified the suspects and arrested them.
ARRESTED: Zayah Abdul Alhassan, 21, of Talisman Lane in Columbia, charged with assault, conspiracy to commit assault, and reckless endangerment; Trent Pakulla, 19, of Millersville Road in Coatsville; Deayra Renee McNair, 18, of Babbling Brook Drive in Olney; James Dada Tamba, 20, of Blue Wing Court in Columbia; and Michell Alejandra Madrigal, 19, of Georgian Woods Place in Silver Spring, charged with conspiracy to commit assault and conspiracy to commit reckless endangerment

Savage, 20763: 9000 block of Baltimore Street, Sept. 23 8:09 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that a male suspect assaulted him and stole his phone before fleeing on foot. A second male suspect fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

A resident reported that upon entering his apartment, he found that his roommate had been assaulted. Police responded and located the victim, who was transported to the hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
