Columbia Man Dies In Car Crash: Police

A Columbia man was killed after the vehicle he was driving crossed over into oncoming traffic striking another, Howard County police report.

COLUMBIA, MD — A 61-year-old Columbia man died in a car crash Monday night. At approximately 9:44 p.m. Dec. 2, 61-year-old Chang Su Kang was westbound on Route 108 driving a 2004 Mercedes Benz S430 when he crossed into oncoming traffic just past Manorstone Lane and hit a 2013 Hyundai Tucson traveling eastbound, according to Howard County police.

Kang was taken to Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Hundai, an adult female also from Columbia, is listed in fair condition at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The investigation is ongoing.
