Columbia Man Killed In Crash In Harford County: Police
Police said a Columbia man died after his truck went into a ditch, hit another vehicle and partly ejected him in Fallston.

FALLSTON, MD - A Columbia man died in a crash in Harford County Tuesday after his truck went into a ditch, hit another vehicle and partially ejected him, police said.
Jeffrey Vande-Ryt, 48, of Columbia, was pronounced deceased off MD 152 in Fallston, after police said he was ejected from his Ford F-250 pickup truck.
Vande-Ryt had been headed north on MD 152/Mountain Road at approximately 3:05 p.m. when, for reasons that have not been determined, his truck went onto the shoulder and off the road near Reckord Road Park, police reported.

The truck went into a grass drainage ditch, then hit an Infiniti SUV that was stopped in a driveway and had been preparing to turn onto Mountain Road, according to police.
Vande-Ryt had not been wearing his seatbelt and was partly ejected from his truck, Maryland State Police reported.

The driver of the SUV - Martina Rambal, 39, of Baltimore - was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by helicopter, police reported.
She was transported as a precautionary measure and was believed to have injuries that were not life-threatening, Sgt. Dudek of Maryland State Police told Patch.
Police said the crash shut down a section of Mountain Road for three hours.
