Columbia Teen Charged in School Threats
Teen phoned in bomb threats to two schools in Howard County, police said.

A Columbia teen has been charged with making bomb threats at two local schools, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Police said the 14-year-old allegedly phoned in threats to Bonnie Branch Middle and Elkridge Elementary, then was found trespassing on school grounds at Mayfield Woods Middle.
He was charged with making a bomb threat and trespassing, according to police.

“There is no indication these hoax threats are connected to others in the region,” Howard County police said.
Schools in six states—Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Iowa and New Jersey—received threats on Tuesday, according to The Washington Post.
