Columbia Teen Musician Wins National Contest

Multi-talenetd musician Evan Johnson has been named the grand prize winner of the Music & Arts "Find Your Voice" music video contest.

Johnson, 17, bested five other finalists in the online voting contest to win $2,000 to put toward Yamaha instruments and a year's worth of music lessons.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the prize package is a trip to Los Angeles, where Johnson will meet Greyson Chance, a fellow teen musician who hit it big after being discovered by comedian and talk show host Ellen Degeneres.

Music & Arts announced the winner on its Facebook page Monday night.
