Columbia Woman Died In Clarksville Crash: Police
Police said one person died and three were injured in a crash near Columbia Monday afternoon.

CLARKSVILLE, MD — A Columbia woman who was a passenger in a car died in a two-vehicle crash in Howard County Monday afternoon, police said. Three others were injured, officials reported, and Ten Oaks Road was closed until approximately 5:30 p.m.
The collision occurred at 12:22 p.m. on Monday on Ten Oaks Road in the area of Heather Glen Way, according to authorities.
Deadra Wellington-Brown, 23, of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Ten Oaks Road, police said.

Patrick Ingram Holmes, 24, of Columbia, was behind the wheel of the 2017 Nissan Sentra that she was riding in, according to officials. Police said Holmes was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Holmes had been driving west on Ten Oaks Road when for reasons that are not known, police said his car crossed the double-yellow line and crashed into a 2013 Ford Expedition that was headed east.

Two people in the Expedition were treated for minor injuries at the scene, according to officials.
For approximately five hours, police said Ten Oaks Road was closed from Route 108 to the traffic circle at Brighton Dam Road/Ten Oaks Road.
