Columbia Woman Disappears, Returns To Howard County General: Police

BREAKING: Police said a Columbia woman went missing from the emergency room Sunday but returned less than 12 hours later.

COLUMBIA, MD (Update) — The woman who disappeared from the emergency room at Howard County General Hospital has been found, police reported Sunday afternoon. She returned to the hospital in good condition, police said after 1:30 p.m.

PREVIOUS REPORT — Authorities are asking for help finding a woman wearing maroon hospital scrubs who disappeared from Howard County General Hospital Sunday morning.

Angela Brooks, 27, of Daystar Court, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. leaving the emergency room in the 5700 block of Cedar Lane, police said. Officials say they are concerned about her safety and well-being.

Despite using K-9 officers to search the pathways between the hospital and Brooks's home, police were unable to locate Brooks.

Authorities also checked the vicinity of Turnabout Lane, where she has been known to go, but did not find her there.

When she left the hospital, Brooks did not have a cell phone, money or other belongings with her.
