The news conference begins at noon and will be live-streamed.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — On Wednesday, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will hold a news conference at noon to address the ongoing response to the new coronavirus. The event will be live-streamed here.

“In the past few weeks, we’ve seen a steady increase in confirmed cases in Howard County, we expect this number to continue to rise,” said Ball in a statement. “We’re preparing for the challenging weeks ahead and are laser-focused on doing everything we can to slow the spread of this virus. This is certainly not going to be easy – but we need to manage our expectations and settle into these new norms.”

Also present at the news conference will be county health officer Dr. Maura Rossman and Howard County Public School System Superintendent Michael Martirano.
