Deck Fire In Columbia Injures One: Officials
A deck fire was contained to the exterior of a Columbia home Tuesday morning, Howard County fire officials reported.

COLUMBIA, MD - A deck fire in Columbia Tuesday morning injured one person and caused an estimated $5,000 in damage, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
Before 2 a.m., crews responded to the 10600 block of Rain Dream Hill for a reported house fire. Officials said they found a deck ablaze behind a home and quickly contained the fire.
The damage was contained to the exterior of the home and was estimated to be $5,000, officials said.

One resident had minor injuries but refused medical treatment, according to authorities.
