Driver In Early Morning Fatal Hit-And-Run In Jessup Sought By Howard County Police

JESSUP, MD — Police are searching for the vehicle they say hit and killed a man around 3 a.m. Monday along Washington Boulevard. The driver did not stay at the scene.

According to the Howard County Police Department, a dark colored car was headed south on Washington Boulevard at Patuxent Range Road when the vehicle hit a man crossing the street. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police do not believe the man was in the crosswalk, according to Howard County Police.

The road was closed for 3.5 hours. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the collision or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact PFC Germain at 410-313-3205 or sgermain@howardcountymd.gov.
