Evening in the Stacks: the Roaring 20s

Step into the Cotton Club and swing to the music of the Junkyard Saints as Howard County Library sparkles with the glamour of a 1920s speakeasy.

The event features a silent auction, fine food and drink, and a literary spotlight: Helen Simonson, author of the bestselling Major Pettigrew's Last Stand, and Ron Charles of the Washington Post.

Celebrity bartenders are back by popular demand. Some of Howard County's favorite people will be pouring drinks for a limited time during the evening. Make sure to stop by to say hello to County Executive Ken Ulman, Rachelina Bonacci, Vic Broccolino, Candace Dodson Reed, Dick Story, and Lara Weathersbee, and vote with your tips for the best bartender!

Proceeds benefit the educational initiatives of Howard County Library.
