“The Cove” Screening with Special Guest Naomi Rose, Ph.D of Humane Society International
On Friday, September 30, at 7 p.m., the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia’s animal ministry, “Creature Connection,” is hosting a screening of the 2009 Academy Award winning documentary “The Cove. “ A powerful exposé of dolphin hunting in Japan, “The Cove” is “a provocative mix of investigative journalism, eco-adventure and arresting imagery, adding up to an unforgettable story that has inspired audiences worldwide to action.”
Naomi Rose, Ph.D, Senior Scientist (marine mammal) for Humane Society International, will join us and lead the discussion after the screening. This is an incredible opportunity to learn about marine mammal behavior, especially behavior in captivity, from an expert in the field.
