Being from the West, I love Sunset! Living in the East, I love Sunset! (P.S. - on the cover, Francis Ford Coppola!)

Sunset used to have different magazine versions like one for Washington and Oregon, one for California, one for the mountain states, but now, with the internet, you get more value of a different sort.

Dogs and cats are a common part of family life in the West and I suspected I would find dogs and cats in the current issue of Sunset, the Wine Lover’s Guide, October 2016 – and I did!

-A Yorkie named Sunny getting a bath in a sink with fixtures by Moen

-A lovely upside-down yellow lab puppy, Riley, for Natural Balance

-Purina’s page shows both a golden retriever and a cat

-Purina’s Fancy Feast has their usual page and more with a perfectly perfect white cat

-Mendocino county features a woman with her dog looking out over the Pacific

-Big Table Farm has two begging dogs on the porch (and draft horses)

And the winner is. . . . .

Dogs! Again. By a score of 5 or 6 to cats with about 2-3, depending on if you count whole pages or numbers of pets.
