Fatal Hit-And-Run Vehicle Description Released By Howard County Police
Howard County Police are looking for a Volkswagen Jetta with front end damage believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run of a skateboarder has been identified and police are asking for the public's help in finding it.
Howard County Police believes the suspect vehicle likely is a 2015-2018 Volkswagen Jetta, color unknown, with damage to the driver's side front end. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information in this case.
The body of Joseph Shawn Deliberts, 32, of Columbia, was found by a passerby in the median of Snowden River Parkway south of Oakland Mills Road Thursday just before 6 a.m. Investigators believe Deliberts was skateboarding on the travel portion of the roadway when he was hit by the vehicle.
