Firefighters Called To Long Reach Apartment

COLUMBIA, MD — Firefighters were called to Long Reach Wednesday night for a kitchen fire. Officials said that crews were at an apartment after 9:30 p.m. checking to make sure the flames had not spread.

The small fire broke out in an apartment in the unit block of Flowerstock Row, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

Firefighters had contained the fire and were ensuring there were no lingering hot spots, officials reported.
