Free Flu Shot Available For HCPSS Students, Register Before Friday To Receive It

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Students at the Howard County Public School System can get vaccinated for free through the district Oct. 13-28. Parents must register their students online before Friday and complete a consent form at https://tinyurl.com/HoCPSSFlu2021.

The online registration and consent form is available in English, Spanish and Korean.

Registered students will receive the flu vaccine at their school during the school day.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that the flu shot can be given at the same time as the COVID-19 vaccine. According to the CDC, annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone 6 months and older, with few exceptions.
