Funeral Details Shared For Master Firefighter From Howard County

The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services has released funeral plans for Master Firefighter Bernard Arnold who passed away.

Master Firefighter Bernard Arnold passed away while off duty. He spent 26 years with the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, primarily working out of stations eight and 13 in Ellicott City and Glenwood.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Funeral details have been released for Master Firefighter Bernard Arnold who passed away while off duty.

Arnold spent 26 years with the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, primarily working out of stations eight and 13 in Ellicott City and Glenwood.

"(He) was known for his big smile and a sense of humor that could put anyone at ease," the fire station stated on social media. "The impact that he made on his coworkers, department and community will never be forgotten."

The family will receive visitors Jan. 29 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Wylie Funeral Home, 9200 Liberty Rd., Randallstown. A wake will be held Jan. 30 from 9 to 9:30 a.m. followed by the service from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Burial will be immediately after the funeral service at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd., in Owings Mills.
