HoCo Family Asks For Help After Baby Suffers Stroke, Seizures

Baby Kyleigh was found unresponsive last week and has since suffered a stroke and seizures. Her family is asking for prayers and help.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Baby Kyleigh continues to fight for her life and her aunt, Amanda Agostinelli, hopes the community will help support her. Agostinelli shared on a GoFundMe page she created that her sister Megan and her partner Joey found Baby Kyleigh unresponsive last Thursday. The baby was rushed to Howard County General Hospital then transferred to John's Hopkins Childrens Hospital.

Although she initially responded to medical care, the family was thrown a huge curveball this past weekend.

"After the amazing work by the doctors and staff, she was seemingly recovering well and ready to be sent home. Then on Sunday, she suffered a massive seizure and stroke. She is still fighting hard to recover and we are praying God works through the hands of the doctors and nurses to help her heal and get home soon," Agostinelli wrote.

The latest update from the family shared that Baby Kyleigh's vital signs were stable and she was taking a few breaths on her own, although she still had her breathing tube in. Her medical team is working to find a medication to control her seizures.

Because Baby Kyleigh's mom had to take medical leave to be by her daughter's bedside, and because the hospital bills are piling up, Agnostinelli created the GoFundMe page to help out the young family.
