HoCo Loan Closet Opens Monday For Non-Contact Donations, Returns

HOWARD COUNTY, MD ā The Loan Closet of Howard County will open for non-contact donations and returns at two locations starting Monday. The Loan Closet of Howard County provides refurbished durable medical equipment and resources to all Howard County residents and caregivers to improve their overall quality of life.
āHoward Countyās Loan Closet is a critical resource for our population and provides the opportunity for all our residents to thrive,ā said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball in a news release. āAmid the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a greater need for medical equipment and resources for our residents and caregivers. Weāre pleased that this service is able to safely accept donations again.ā
Donations at the 7125 Riverwood Drive location may be dropped off every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only. Donations must be made by individuals who are able to independently unload all equipment at the Loan Closetās loading zone and are willing to receive donation receipts by electronic or traditional mail.

Donations can be made at the Loan Closetās Durable Medical Equipment Shed located at the Alpha Ridge Landfill from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Alpha Ridge Landfill is located at 2350 Marriottsville Rd. in Marriottsville. Donation receipts will not be provided at the satellite location.
Non-contact equipment distribution remains available at the Loan Closet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
