Horizon Foundation Announces New Trustee and Board Officers
The Horizon Foundation has welcomed a new board member and four officers bringing a wealth of experience in health and community leadership.

The Horizon Foundation has announced the appointment of a new trustee and four officers to lead its Board of Trustees. The Horizon Foundation is an independent philanthropy dedicated to improving health and wellness for people who live or work in Howard County. Since 1998, Horizon has invested $45 million in community programs, including grants to more than 250 organizations. The Foundation’s current strategic priorities include promoting healthy lifestyles and increasing access to quality, affordable health care.
The new officers and trustee are:
Henry Posko, Chair

President and CEO, Humanim
At Humanim, Mr. Posko leads a team of more than 650 staff members to support and empower individuals who face social or economic challenges, by building pathways to economic equity, opportunity, and independence.

Gregory O. Olaniran, Vice Chair
Partner, Mitchell Silberberg and Knupp LLP
Mr. Olaniran is a partner in the Entertainment, Intellectual Property & Technology, and Litigation departments at Mitchell Silberberg and Knupp LLP and an active Howard County resident.
Robin Steele, Secretary
Business Manager, BRIDGES Consulting, Inc.
Ms. Steele has more than 25 years of experience in government contracting and has been involved with numerous boards and organizations serving the Howard County community.
Janet Currie, Treasurer
Senior Vice President, Bank of America
Ms. Currie has served as an executive in the banking sector for 20 years and currently oversees corporate social responsibility initiatives in the greater Maryland area.
Jeffrey Rivest, New Trustee
Former CEO, University of Maryland Medical Center
Mr. Rivest is a retired senior health system executive who most recently led the University of Maryland Medical Center for 11 years. He previously served as vice president and chief operating officer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
