Howard Co. League Of Women Voters Meet Jan. 11 In Ellicott City

The League of Women Voters of Howard County will discuss their 2020 legislative priorities at the Jan. 11 meeting in Ellicott City.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The League of Women Voters of Howard County's annual legislative brunch will be Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 9120 Frederick Rd. At the meeting, members of the Howard County Delegation will speak. LWVHC members also will discuss legislative priorities for 2020.

These legislative priorities include: making democracy work through redistricting and campaign financing reform, improved voter access and election security; protecting the environment through addressing climate change; and promoting social and economic justice through educational and public transportation reforms and maintaining safety nets for vulnerable populations.
