Howard Community College To Offer Virtual Info Sessions For Prospective Students And Families

Howard Community College (HCC) will host a series of virtual information sessions this winter to help prospective students.

COLUMBIA, MD – Howard Community College (HCC) will host a series of virtual information sessions this winter to help prospective students and their families learn about academic programs, support services, admissions and advising, and financial aid.

The first series of sessions, called “HCC In the Know,” occur at 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

  • Thursday, December 3 – JumpStart Dual Enrollment Community College-Based Registration Information Session
  • Thursday, December 10 – Winter & Spring Enrollment with Admissions and Advising

The other series of information sessions take place at various dates and times, focusing on key academic and instructional areas at the college. These sessions are as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 1 at 6 p.m. – New Electrical Apprenticeship Program – Student Information Session
  • Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. – Information about the Laurel College Center, a Maryland regional higher education center founded by Howard Community College and Prince George’s Community College. The Laurel College Center offers associate degree programs, as well as bachelor’s degree programs with its four-year university partners.

All information sessions are free and open to the public, but those interested in attending are asked to register in advance at howardcc.edu/HCCintheKnow. Zoom meeting information will be provided to registrants the day before a session.
