Classes Starting in September

Columbia, MD – Did you know that you don’t have to be working toward a college degree to take classes at Howard Community College? Known for preparing students for four-year universities or careers, the college also provides continuing education classes for Howard County families. Classes begin as early as September, with enrollment continuing throughout fall.

Continuing education classes are designed with professional, personal, and creative development in mind. With classes online this fall, there are classes available that will fit your schedule. No grades or exams (except for licensure classes) are given. Classes feature such topics as art, genealogy, world languages, writing, and wellness. The Rider School is now back in session with in-person motorcycle classes for all levels of riders.

Students ages 6 to 17 can build new life skills and enhance their learning through the Kids on Campus program. Typically offered only in summers, the college now offers a broad array of classes custom-made for children and teens on such topics as languages, sciences, and even SAT prep.
