The Outpatient Center Advisory Council and the Patient and Family Advisory Council have openings

Howard County General Hospital requests applications from volunteers interested in serving with one of two hospital advisory groups that support patient care: the Outpatient Center Advisory Council and the Patient and Family Advisory Council.

The Outpatient Center Advisory Council meets every two months to strengthen collaboration among patients, families, caregivers and staff, advocate for patients and families and help develop hospital and community programs, services and policies. The council brings the patient and family perspective to hospital planning, operations and education.

Council members have received outpatient care or belong to families with someone who has received care from Howard County General Hospital’s outpatient center. Candidates can learn more and access the application online at http://bit.ly/hcgh_ocac

Council members discuss operational decisions with the goal of providing compassionate and empathetic care, while ensuring the hospital uses the best safety and care techniques.
