Howard County Goes Back to School for 2016
Get schedules, supply lists, bus info — Monday marks the first day of classes for Howard County public school students.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — School buses will be back in Howard County neighborhoods on Monday, Aug. 29, as students head back to school for the 2016–2017 academic year.
Classes start Monday, Aug. 29, and the first day of school for pre-k is Wednesday, Aug. 31. Find out what time to get there; school start times vary.
The school bus locator is online and the bus schedule is available in PDF as well. During the first week of school, students are asked to arrive at bus stops earlier than the normally required five minutes.

Once school starts, the first holiday is around the corner — students and staff will be off on Labor Day, which is Monday, Sept. 5.
School is also closed for Howard County students on Monday, Sept. 12, for Professional Learning Day.
