ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County project to remove two large white oak trees in the vicinity of 3877 College Avenue in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Wednesday, July 14th. The tree removal is necessary in order to allow for the future relocation of an existing dry-stacked stone retaining wall three feet east of its current location. Weather permitting, the project is expected to take three days to complete.
During the project, College Avenue at the site will be closed to thru traffic during work hours, weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Motorists will follow a clearly marked detour using New Cut Road, Hillsborough Road and Village Crest Road. Signs will be in place to alert motorists of the road closure and detour.
