Patch Honors The Class Of 2020 In Howard County

Congratulations to the high school graduates in the Class of 2020 who hail from across Howard County.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Patch wants to provide a way to highlight the achievements of Howard County high school graduates, even if it's in a small way. With in-person instruction switched to online for the 2019-2020 school year across Maryland due to the coronavirus, high school seniors are missing out on the last moments of what should be a happy, celebratory time. Many schools' proms have been canceled and Howard County Public School System's graduation will be held virtually. We know many high school seniors are bummed about missing these milestones in what should be an exciting last year of school.

We hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our Class of 2020 high school graduates. You can find the form here if you'd like to add your graduate. Patch will be updating this form until May 31.

Justyn will be attending Morgan State University.

Jalynn Wright, Oakland Mills High School

Jalynn will be attending Howard University College. She will major in early childhood education.

Savon will be attending Old Dominion University possibly majoring in communication.

Message for Savon: You came into our life during a very dark time (2 days after 9/11) and were our shining light then and you continue to be. You have always had everything you needed to be and do anything you want. Go out and change the world and be sure to enjoy every bit of the ride. Aiden will be attending Howard Community College and will be part of the Rouse Scholars Program.

Jordan Brittingham, Wilde Lake High School

Jordan will be attending Howard Community College majoring in exercise science.

Daniel Christopher Walker, Wilde Lake High School

Daniel will be attending Auburn University as a member of the honors and engineering programs, majoring in aerospace engineering with a minor in public administration (policy).

Message to Daniel: Daniel, you have worked so hard through all the many years of schooling. While academics always came fairly easily, life has given you a unique set of challenges.
