Howard High Students Host Empty Bowls

Fundraiser for Grassroots includes soup and handmade bowl

The National Art Honor Society, the National Honor Society and Culinary Department at Howard High School are hosting “Empty Bowls 2017,” a community fundraiser for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, on Tuesday, April 4th, from 5:00-7:00 pm, in the school cafeteria. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased in the front office. Admission includes an all-you-can-eat soup and bread dinner and a handmade ceramic bowl. Soups are made fresh and donated by faculty, parents and students.

The ceramic soup bowls have been created by Howard High School students. All of the proceeds from the event go to Grassroots, Howard County’s only 24-hour crisis center and homeless shelter.

Howard High School is located at 8700 Old Annapolis Road in Ellicott City. For information, call 410-313-2867.
