Hurricane Harvey Pets Up For Adoption In Columbia
As Hurricane Irma nears Florida, one rescue in Maryland is making room for displaced animals, and people in Columbia can help.

COLUMBIA, MD - One Maryland animal rescue group is making way for an influx of pets from out of state as a result of Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma.
Last Chance Animal Rescue in Waldorf has brought in dozens of animals displaced by Hurricane Harvey in Texas, pets that will soon be up for adoption in Columbia.
"We are also getting pups from other areas impacted by Harvey and are working with partners in Miami Dade [in Florida] to help animals impacted by Hurricane Irma," Last Chance reported this week. "We are taking animals already in shelters, prior to weather events, to make room for displaced pets so they can remain local and have the opportunity to be reunited with their families."
