Indecent Exposure On Stanford Boulevard: Columbia Crime

Two vehicles were stolen while left running in Columbia in recent days, according to police.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A teen was found inside a residence under construction in the 9500 block of Farewell Road. The owner of the home was calling police when the suspect left at 11:31 a.m. on April 16. Nothing had been reported stolen.

Police arrested an intoxicated man at the Extended Stay America in the 8800 block of Stanford Boulevard. Authorities said that the man was walking naked in the hallway at the hotel at 3:10 a.m. on April 16.

A 2001 Mercedes CLK was stolen outside The Mall in Columbia. The driver went into the mall in the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway to pick up a food order. She had left the vehicle unattended and running while she went inside. A man was seen getting into the vehicle and driving away at 8:14 p.m. on April 14.

A 22-year-old Baltimore man faces drug and weapons charges after police saw him loitering in a Stevens Forest Road stairwell and smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The man was found with a loaded handgun, suspected marijuana packaged for distribution and large quantities of prescription medications. Police came across the suspect at approximately 4:30 p.m. on April 14 in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road. He was arrested without incident.

A pizza delivery car was stolen in the 8900 block of Early April Way. The driver, who was making a pizza delivery, had left his 2012 black Toyota Corolla running at 12:33 p.m. on April 13. One man drove off in the car, and two others who had been seen with him ran away.

A 2003 PT Cruiser was stolen from the 5400 block of Bluecoat Lane. The vehicle had Maryland tags that read "9CR5118." The theft was reported at 1:02 p.m. on April 14.
