Jessup Hotel Site Of Human Trafficking Arrest: Police
Detectives arrested Michael Allen Steadman, 33, of Baltimore after they determined he was engaged in human trafficking.

JESSUP, MD — A Baltimore man has been charged with human trafficking that occurred at a hotel in Jessup. During an undercover operation targeting human traffickers conducted Sept. 8, police learned of possible prostitution activity in the county.
Detectives arrested Michael Allen Steadman, 33, of Newington Avenue after they determined he was providing transportation to and from prostitution appointments for a 26-year-old female victim and keeping a portion of her money, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. The victim was referred to appropriate services for assistance.
According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, 187 human trafficking cases were reported in 2019 in Maryland.
