Joy Ike in Concert July 16 at One World Coffeehouse

Upcoming event, Live music, Benefit concert

Next Saturday, July 16th, the One World Coffeehouse proudly welcomes the Joy Ike in concert. Born to Nigerian immigrants, her percussive piano-playing and soaring vocals give homage to her African roots, but her poetic lyrics and captivating voice have drawn comparisons to the singer-songwriter traditions of Corinne Bailey Rae, Regina Spektor, and Norah Jones: www.joyike.com

NPR's All Things Considered shares:

"The depth of subjects she tackles in her poetic lyrics are perfectly complemented by a unique blend of neo-soul...a truly compelling act to watch in person, with the ability to create an intimate setting in locations big and small."
