Knife-Wielding Woman Arrested in Safeway: Columbia Crime
More Trump signs vandalized, pedestrian robbed on footpath and other crimes in Columbia were reported to Howard County police recently.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A woman stole another woman's wallet at the Mall in Columbia before 6 p.m. on Nov. 5. When the victim confronted the suspect, the thief returned the wallet.
A 27-year-old Columbia woman was charged with assault after allegedly threatening someone with a knife in a grocery store on Nov. 5. The woman had been arguing with an employee at Safeway in the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road when two customers intervened. The suspect threatened one of the customers with a knife, then tried to leave. An officer arrived at the scene and arrested the woman, who lives in the 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road and was charged with first and second-degree assault. Nobody was injured.

The screen was removed from a bedroom window in the 10400 block of Swift Stream Place between Nov. 4 and 6. Nothing was reported stolen from the residence, where the bedroom window had been left unlocked.
Two teens were charged with theft in connection with taking Trump signs from a residence on Nov. 4. Police said the signs were taken from a yard in the 5000 block of Jericho Road, where the owner called police and two female suspects were arrested. An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested and charged with theft less than $1,000 and theft less than $100.

Five men assaulted a pedestrian on the footpath near Stevens Forest Road at Whiteacre Road at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 4. They took his wallet and phone. Nobody was seriously injured.
There was damage to the side door to a garage in the 5500 block of Nettlebed Court. Nothing was taken, and it was unknown when the incident occurred.
