Lake Kittamaqundi Robberies: 3 Teens Arrested, Police Say
Columbia teens with a gun were charged in two robberies in one hour on the Columbia footpath, Howard County police said.

COLUMBIA, MD - Three teens were arrested in connection with two robberies along the Lake Kittamaqundi footpath Tuesday night, police said.
Police said that three people robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint, taking his wallet and cell phone, at 6:55 p.m.
Soon after, another robbery report came in to the Howard County Police Department from the same area.

At 7:42 p.m., police said that four people showed a gun and demanded the wallet and cell phone from another man who was alone on the footpath; however, that victim ran away.
According to investigators, three suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in both robbery cases:

- A 16-year-old Columbia boy was charged as an adult with armed robbery, robbery, assault and theft.
- A 15-year-old Columbia boy was charged as a juvenile with robbery.
- A 16-year-old Columbia boy was charged as a juvenile with robbery.
One suspect is at large, and officials described him as a thin black male about 18 years old who was wearing a blue shirt and black shorts Tuesday night.
