Lidl To Hold Grand Opening June 9 At New Columbia Store

COLUMBIA, MD — The top third grocery store chain in the country according to USA Today will set down roots in Columbia and hold a grand opening event June 9 starting at 7 a.m. The new store, located at 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway, will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday. The new store will be Lidl’s 17th in Maryland. Lidl also will be opening stores in New Jersey and Georgia on the same day.

“I am so happy to welcome Lidl to Howard County,” Deb Jung, Howard County Councilmember, District 4, said. “It’s great to see a grocery store coming to The Mall in Columbia and I’m sure the downtown residents are thrilled to welcome a high quality, low-cost option, as well."

At the Columbia grand opening, customers will be able to take advantage of get-them-while-you-can grand opening special offers at the new store. The first 100 customers will be presented with a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card and take advantage of special giveaways.

Shoppers can experience ,>hundreds of organic and gluten-free products, American-sourced products, unique specialty items from overseas ranging from hard-to-find cheeses to specialty sauces, cured meats and more.
