Man Killed When Pickup Crosses Center Line, Hits Car: Police
A 56-year-old Glenelg man was killed Wednesday morning when a pickup crossed the center line and hit the vehicle he was driving.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 56-year-old Glenelg man died Wednesday morning at approximately 8 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving was hit by a 2007 GMC Sierra pickup traveling northbound on the Guilford Road bridge at the Anne Arundel County line that had crossed over the center line.
A 2013 Honda Accord hit the rear of the pickup after the first collision. The driver and sole occupant of the Sonata, David Lee Rice, was taken to Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. Guilford Road was closed between Dorsey Run Road and the county line for approximately three hours Wednesday morning.
