Man Who Solicited Sex From Teen Girls Given Suspended Sentence: Court
A 32-year-old man who approached two 14-year-old girls and offered them money for sex has been given a suspended sentence minus time served.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Richard Morgan, 32, was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison with all of his sentence suspended except for the 158 days he already served. Morgan pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor.
On April 8, two 14-year-old girls reported to Howard County Police that Morgan had approached them and offered money for sex. They were on a pathway near Swansfield Pool when the interaction occurred. According to the Howard County Police Department, the girls took cellphone video of their interaction with Morgan before leaving the area and then called police.
Investigators released Morgan’s photo to the public that same day and after following up on social media tips, they were able to locate him later that afternoon near the 10000 block of Little Patuxent Parkway.
