Missing Mother, Daughter Found In Elkridge: Howard County Police

ELKRIDGE, MD — A mother and her young daughter who were reported missing Saturday morning were found safe and unharmed.

Angelica Pina-Ruiz, 48, and her 7-year-old daughter, Abril Aguirre-Pina, were last seen leaving their home in the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard on foot around 9 a.m. to go on a walk in the neighborhood. They last contacted family by text around 11 a.m., according to the Howard County Police Department.

The original report was that her family and police were concerned for their welfare due to health issues and the length of time they'd been missing. Police searched on foot, used a drone and employed a K9 Unit but couldn't find them for a period of time. The police department announced later that day that they had been found.
