Motorcycle Crash Claims The Life Of An Elkton Woman: Police
The 33-year-old Glen Burnie man driving the motorcycle was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
COLUMBIA, MD — A 26-year-old Elkton woman died in a motorcycle accident Saturday that occurred on the ramp from Route 175 west to Route 29 north. Kristen Renee Snyder was riding on a motorcycle driven by 33-year-old Jamie Charles Zavala of Glen Burnie.
The Howard County Police Department reported that Zavala lost control of the 2011 Yamaha R6 motorcycle and struck a guardrail. Both Zavala and Snyder were thrown from the motorcycle. Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene while Zavala was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition.
