Motorcyclist Killed After Being Hit By Semi In Howard County: Police
A 65-year-old Baltimore man driving a motorcycle was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer Friday night in Howard County.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A fatal crash Friday night in Elkridge claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, 65-year-old Harold Leonard Hopkins Jr. of Baltimore was driving a 2002 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle north on Route 1 near Brookdale Drive when he was hit by a tractor-trailer turning left from the southbound lanes of Route 1.
Hopkins Jr. was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Route 1 in the area was closed for approximately three hours.
