Motorcyclist Killed After Hitting Light Pole At High Rate Of Speed: Howard County Police
A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Sykesville has died after police say he lost control of his bike and hit a light pole.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 29-year-old Sykesville man has died after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a light pole.
Around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 2023 Kawasaki EX650 was traveling southbound on Pine Orchard Lane through the Route 40 intersection at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and left the road. He was taken to Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Howard County Police Department.
The 10100 block of Frederick Road was closed for approximately two hours. The investigation is ongoing.
