Motorcyclist Killed In Vollmerhausen Road Crash: Police

A Jessup motorcyclist died, while the Laurel driver and three Columbia passengers in another vehicle were unharmed, police said.

JESSUP, MD — Police said a motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday night on Vollmerhausen Road.

Phillip L. Dorsey, 21, of Jessup, was pronounced deceased on Vollmerhausen Road near Castleford Drive, officials reported.

According to police, Dorsey was driving his Yamaha north on Vollmerhausen Road at 9:23 p.m. when his motorcycle collided with a Nissan Altima that was headed west on Castleford Drive.

Vollmerhausen Road was closed between Guilford and Savage Guilford roads, police said at midnight.

The driver of the Altima — Alborz M. Lakeh, 20, of Laurel — was not injured, according to police, and three passengers in the car were also unharmed. The passengers were identified as Columbia residents Kayla M. Johnson, 18, Ciana J. Ferl, 18, and Maumin M. Abdallah, 25.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said charges have not been filed.
