Murder Charges Filed After Body Found In Patapsco State Park

Two men, including one from Columbia, are charged with first-degree murder related to the body found at a state park in June, police say.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Columbia man is one of two charged with murder after a body was found recently in Patapsco Valley State Park. Police said that the homicide victim died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Dion D'Angelo Boler, 26, of the 5600 block of Harpers Farm Road in Columbia, was charged with first-degree murder, and so was Renardo Giovanni Whitehead, 19, of the 3900 block of Briarwood Drive in Laurel.

The murder occurred June 7, according to court records.

Glenroy St. Aubyn Copeland, 27, of the 7700 block of Alastor Court in Elkridge, was located along a trail on Sunday, June 16, according to police.

A woman found Copeland's body while walking her dog in Patapsco Valley State Park near River and Thistle roads at 5 p.m. that day, officials said.

Boler and Whitehead are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Aug. 30 in Baltimore County District Court.
